About Us

If you are looking for a place to worship, or you are simply curious about Jesus and how the Vineyard community walks alongside Him, we invite you to come as you are and join us in this great adventure.

Vineyard Flagstaff is here to share the good news that Jesus has rescued us from our brokenness, and can bring us into a right relationship with God. None of us are perfect this side of heaven, so we invite you to begin your journey as you are; let’s watch God do His work, in all of us, together!

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 says, 4 Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

We feel that obedience is imperative for us to be successful on this adventure. In John 15 Jesus tells the story of the vine and the branches and how He is the vine and we are the branches and that there is nothing that we can do outside of him. He, Jesus, goes on to say in verse 14 “You are friends if you do what I command”. If we are going to do His work we need to be obedient to what He has called us to do.

Psalm 95:1-7 says, 1 O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. 3 For the Lord is a great God And a great King above all gods, 4 in whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are His also. 5 The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land. 6 Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. 7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.

Beyond worship through music it is our desire to worship God though our finances, through our relationships. Our primary desire is that Vineyard Flagstaff will be known as a place to love God with all of our hearts through the way we worship in EVERY aspect of our life.

Jesus was always about connection, in fact he commanded it. Jesus said “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

It is not the grand gestures that connect you with people, it’s the things that let them know you honestly care; and this is what we want to bring to Flagstaff.

Romans 12:3-8 says, 3For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. 4 For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; 7 if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; 8 or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

What Jesus is telling us here is that no matter what your abilities are you must use those abilities to serve others, but we are not only to serve them we are to serve them joyfully. Our deepest desire for Vineyard Flagstaff if that we will be known for our service. We want to be His hands and feet in Flagstaff. Our hearts desire is to serve with no questions asked.
